The Harvey and Linda Litofsky Family Foundation

The Harvey and Linda Litofsky Family Foundation was founded by Harvey and Linda Litofsky in December, 1999. Harvey had a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) after being diagnosed with Chronic Myelocytic Leukemia in 1993. His brother was his donor, and Harvey has had a successful recovery, returning to his career as a Physical Therapist in less than one year following the transplant. In 1999, he retired to commit himself to numerous community causes. His wife, Linda, a hospice nurse, continues her passion in helping others to cope with death and dying. It had been a goal of Harvey's to develop a family foundation as a means of having a family legacy for generations to come. While teaching the younger generation the value of giving, the importance of positive community action, and the many administrative functions required in the successful operation of such an entity, the Foundation can be expected to reach its anticipated and ambitious goals.
